Even though The Emmy Awards will air on NBC this year, Conan O’Brien is hoping to attend the ceremony too.
On Tuesday, TBS ran two ads in the trade papers promoting ex-“Tonight Show” and future TBS host Conan O’Brien. The first ad (which you see here) directly mentions the Emmys while the other is a text-only ad that reads, “For your consideration: Conan O’Brien — Outstanding Achievement in the use of SPF 150.”
Though its unlikely they will give him an Emmy nod, the ads do remind everyone that Conan will be making his debut on TBS on Nov. 8. But, if the campaign worked, it would be a PR home run for TBS, so its a win-win for O’Brien and his new home.
