DirecTV has teamed up with Sony Pictures Television to keep the series, Damages, alive for at least two more seasons.
The series has aired on FX since its debut in 2007 but the network recently announced it was canceling the show. This is when DirecTV stepped in and made an exclusive deal to air 20 more episodes of the series which will be split between two season. In addition, DirecTV has acquired the rights to air repeats of Seasons 1 through 3.
“FX was very proud to have developed one of the best scripted series on television, but, in order to have a future, the show needed DirecTV and we are thrilled they stepped in,” said FX Networks President John Landgraf.
