Not to be outdone by Barbara Walters, CBS is premiering its own View-like talk show this fall. The show will feature The Early Show co-host Julie Chen, America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne and Roseanne’s Sara Gilbert.
Gilbert developed the show, which CBS says will “examine topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of mothers.”
Though Gilbert hasn’t hosted a talk show before, she has had plenty of advocacy experience, meaning she’ll likely have plenty to say. She has been a strong supporter of the AIDS project and PETA for years. She also has two children with her partner of eight years Allison Adler. Their son Levi’s biological mother is Adler and daughter Sawyer’s biological mother is Gilbert.
