Did you know there are fact-checkers who verify all of those crazy tabloid stories we hear about? Well, NBC did and they thought it would be a great premise for a new web series.
‘FCU: Fact-Checkers Unit’, which is based on the short film of the same name, recently debuted on NBC.com and so far as been a hit- as far as web series go anyway.
‘FCU’ follows fictional Dictum magazine employees Russell and Dylan as they check the facts for various stories. The series’ creators, Peter Karinen and Brian Sacca play the lead characters.
Luke Perry, Donald Faison and ‘Flight of the Conchords’ star Kristen Schaal star in the first three episodes which are currently available.
