After winning critical acclaim for a a TV series about ad agents and another about meth chemists, AMC is taking a gamble and hoping for the same accolades for a new series about zombies.
The Walking Dead, set to premiere on Halloween (when else?), follows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a small-town police officer who wakes up in a deserted hospital only to discover the world has been overrun by zombies.
The show is based on the 2003 graphic novel of the same name by Robert Kirkman.
