Fox announced their official midseason schedule today which includes the kick off of “American Idol’s” ninth season Jan. 12 at 8 pm.
The new schedule, which is the expected mix of premieres and returns, is actually pretty close the one first announced in May. There are only a few major changes like the new game show “Our Little Genius” which is now getting the post-“Idol” Tuesday spot and the drama “Past Life,” which was initially slated for Tuesday nights, getting a Thursday-night start while “Fringe” takes a winter/spring break. FOX will also replace Dollhouse with a new season of “Kitchen Nightmares”.
