TNT has canceled the Steven Bochco legal drama Raising the Bar in a move that is less than shocking considering the poor ratings since the start of its second season.
In a statement, the cable channel said: “Everyone at TNT had a great experience working on Raising the Bar with Steven Bochco and the rest of the show’s terrific cast and crew. We’re proud of the series and appreciate the efforts of all of the creative people who were involved. Unfortunately, ratings for Raising the Bars’ second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series.”
12 of season two’s 15 episodes have aired so far with the last being on August 24th. The show’s cancellation leaves fans wondering when the final three episodes will be aired or added directly to a still unannounced DVD set. Unconfirmed sources do claim the remaining episodes may air in March 2010. A quick look at TNT’s website shows no mention of the drama.
