Just days after Family Ties star Meredith Baxter announced she was gay, another star of the ’80s series is making headlines. Brian Bonsall, who payed Andy Keaton the younger brother of Michael J. Fox’s character Alex Keaton, was arrested in Colorado on a third-degree assault charge over the weekend according to police.
Boulder police said Bonsall got into a fight Saturday and hit a friend with part of a broken stool. Their report says, “Bonsall said that he and [the victim] Michael Trujillo both are bipolar and like drugs. Bonsall said that he takes a lot of drugs and sometimes those drugs make him forget things.” He also told police that he had been drinking adding to his memory loss and causing him to forget the incident all together.
