First Lady Michelle Obama was named Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating Person of 2009 last week, just one year after her husband, President Barack Obama took the honor.
Of that past year, Michelle told Barbara, “It has been a whirlwind. But it’s been amazing.” The two sat down for Walters’ annual special The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009.
Obama had several personal highlights to discuss for 2009 including settling into the White House, getting a family dog,Bo, visiting countries around the world with the President, planting a garden and starting a mentoring program. She also spilled her secret to killer arms, saying it was the result of hitting the gym everyday for more than 11 years.
