Struggling network NBC has ordered a pilot of an untitled comedy starring Adam Carolla. In the show, the former co-host of Loveline, will play a contractor who sets out to rebuild his life after a messy divorce. Carolla penned the pilot with Kevin Hatch, who collaborated with the funny man on Comedy Central’s The Man Show and Too Late With Adam Carolla.
Carolla and Hatch also had a pilot for CBS entitled Ace in the Hole, which featured Carolla in the lead role. Via Carolla’s podcast, he announced that CBS was not picking up the pilot for the 2009 season, “in any way, shape or form.”
NBC’s new project is the comedy pilot for the network’s massive upcoming season.
