One would think that British comic Ricky Gervais is busy prepping for this Sunday’s Golden Globe awards on NBC. But he’s not.
“I am pretty calm, because I’ve got very low standards. I don’t really care because they’re not going to invite me back,” he told reporters.
Gervais will serve as MC for the venerable awards show this week. This will be the first time the Golden Globes has had a host since 1995.
The 48-year-old is best known as the co-creator and star of the original, British version of The Office and recently co-starred with Jennifer Garner in the feature-film The Invention of Lying (which he also co-directed). He won a Golden Globe in 2001 (The Office) along with countless Emmy and BAFTA awards for a number of his shows appearances.
