According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC has picked up two new drama pilots, “Walking Dead” and “The Killing.”
The pilots mark the fourth and fifth pilots ordered by the cable network joining “Mad Men,” “Breaking Bad and “Rubicon” (which airs this summer.)
The two new pilots also continue “the tradition of delivering premium cable quality shows on basic cable,” AMC president and GM Charlie Collier said.
“Walking Dead” is based on Robert Kirkman’s 2003 cult classic comic book. It chronicles the years following a zombie apocalypse and focuses on a small group of survivors who are led by policeman Rick Grimes as they look for a secure place to call home.
