After gaining interested viewers over the course of its first season, Lie to Me enters its second season.  Lie to Me is a dramatic series taken from the experiences of a real-life psychologist who pioneered microexpressions.  Theoretically, microexpressions are involuntary actions that our body expresses whenever we talk or move.  Dr. Cal Lightman, played by Tim Roth, uses these facial, body, and vocal clues to expose both truth and lies in his ongoing criminal investigations.  Others in the cast include Kelli Williams (The Practice) and Mekhi Phifer (8 Mile) as Lightman’s right-hand person and FBI agent, respectively.

Season one ended with some open ended so season two will look to expand on them.  Between Lightman’s familial problems and Williams’ character’s marital woes, there’s enough plot within the plot for each episode.  The show is based around that that humans lie A LOT.  It makes the viewer think about the show as well as how much they might lie individually.
