The Girls Next Door is a reality television series on E! chronicling three Playmates attached to Hugh Hefner.  During Seasons 1-5 the show featured Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson, and the fifth season concluded with the three leaving the Playboy Mansion for various reasons.  The sixth season, which began on October 11th, will focus on Hefner’s new girlfriends–the Shannon twins and Crystal Harris as his number one girlfriend.

The Girls Next Door is tailored to the male fantasy of having multiple girlfriends without any strings attached while living in a huge LA mansion.  This series takes viewers inside the famed Playboy Mansion to reveal Hefner’s world.  Hefner shows a different side to Playboy, showing that it’s not all about the girls and the bodies.  They live their lives as well and are in search for love.  The girls go through typical girl problems and it is well chronicled throughout the show.  Viewers live vicariously through Hefner to live the life of luxury, money, and women.

In the March 1, 2009 season five finale of The Girls Next Door, Bridget left the mansion to film her new series for the Travel Channel, Kendra moved out of the mansion because of her relationship with Hank Baskett, and though the episode didn’t feature Holly moving out, Hefner discusses her unhappiness at the mansion.  Holly ultimately wanted a family and she didn’t see it happening while living in the mansion.  The final moments of the episode show Kristina and Karissa Shannon taking their place as Hefner’s new girlfriends.

Season six has three new faces and is bound to have new experiences and altercations.  New Girls Next Door episodes air Sundays on E! at 10/9 pm.  If you miss episodes, there are only two ways to watch them online.
