Last May NBC confirmed that the fourth season of Heroes will kick off with a special 2 hour premiere on Monday, September 21, 2009. Although the ratings of the show have gone down in the past few years, NBC seems to be determined to bring the show back to what it once was with the forth season which leads me to believe that god willing, the fourth season should be just as good as the first, if not better. A variety of new actors Madeline Zima, Rick Worthy, Robert Knepper and Ray Park will all be making an appearance this season.

If you are looking to watch Heroes online you have a variety of options, which I have summarized below.

Netflix is the best place to watch Heroes online, period. Netflix has a deal with NBC that allows them to add new episodes of Heroes available to watch online the day after they air on TV. Watching Heroes through Netflix is better then on the official NBC site because you can watch episodes commercial free, and they have every episode from all four seasons available to watch instantly or on DVD / Blu-ray. The official NBC site is another great place to watch Heroes online. Although the episodes available to watch are limited to the current season, you can also catch shows on here the day after they air. If you have a decent internet connection you can also watch the show in HD. If your looking to catch up on the show from the beginning however this option won’t be of much use because of the limited episode selection.

Hulu is another great, legal way to watch Heroes online. If your a daily Hulu user I would recommend using this service to catch up on the latest episodes, however Hulu has an even more limited selection of episodes than the official NBC website so again I would still recommend Netflix for most users. One thing I really like about Hulu is that they do have a great video interface, and videos with cast interviews in addition to just the episodes.

I’m really hoping that Heroes really comes back with season 4. I’ll be the first to admit that last season I lost interest in the show last season after the writers refused to ever really “kill” anyone off. However I do think that a lot of people complained about this and hopefully they will try to make things right this season.
