rjenkinsUnless you’ve been holed up in a cave somewhere you’ve probably already heard that the manhunt for reality star Ryan Jenkins ended yesterday when police found him dead of an apparent suicide in the Thunderbird Motel in Hope, British Columbia, just east of Vancouver. Jenkins was found hanging in the room, police are unsure how long he had been there.

Jenkins was suspected of killing his wife, Jasmine Fiore, whose body was found in a suitcase that was thrown away just south of Los Angeles on Friday, August 20th. Her teeth and fingers had been removed but she was able to be identified by the serial numbers on her breast implants.

Jenkins had appeared on Megan Wants A Millionaire, a Bacheloresque show in which Megan, of Rock of Love fame, dated several men, the stipulation being they had to be millionaires. Apparently, Jenkins fit the bill because he had earned a couple million dollars in real estate deals. The show, which was in mid-season on Vh1 at the time of the murder, has been canceled as Vh1 tries to distance itself from the scandal.

Vh1 was quick to release a statement explaining they had aired the sow but they did not produce it. “Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on ‘Megan Wants a Millionaire,’ an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family.”

The network has since also canceled the third installment of I Love Money which hasn’t premiered yet. Not only was Jenkins a contestant on the show but according to TMZ he may have even won the $250,000 grand prize. It is also rumored that Vh1 is even suspending any future “Reunion” episodes of their series due to insurance risk.

Well, if we’ve all learned anything from this scandal it’s that we were right- the contestants on Vh1’s reality shows are actually crazy- and, apparently, breast implants have serial numbers, who knew?
