The CW has officially renewed six of its most popular shows, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, Smallville, America’s Next Top Model, One Tree Hill and 90210. It also looks like they will pick up Melrose Place 2.0 and the Gossip Girl prequel that follows the formative years of Lily van der Woodsen (tentatively titled Lily).

If you’re doing the math, like I am, this is great news for all of these shows (and their fans) but not so good for the shows that have not been renewed- Everybody Hates Chris, Privileged, Reaper and The Game-somebody’s gotta go. I’m rooting for Everybody Hates Chris and Reaper, though I may be the only person still watching them. I’m also surprised they’re renewing Supernatural, Smallville AND OTH, all three shows have been with the network since before they were even a network and seem to have run their course.

Apparently, at least two of the stars of One Tree Hill agree with me. Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray (Peyton and Lucas respectively) are rumored to be peacing out on the series at the end of this season. At this point, neither star has signed a contract for season 7. They are the only hold outs and rumors that they will not return have been surfacing for awhile so things aren’t looking good for Tree Hill’s favorite couple.
