Tennis Channel on DirecTV

I have great news for all of you Tennis fans out there. DirecTV has just added a 24 hour channel dedicated to Tennis to their programming line-up. Available with the Choice Xtra programming package the Tennis channel has live tournament coverage and events, instructional segments, and interviews with your favorite athletes. The Tennis Channel is revolutionizing exposer of the sport and making it more visible than ever before. The Tennis channel will also be added to DirecTV’s growing HD lineup, and should be available in HD by the end of the year.
I personally can only watch channels that are in HD these days (call me crazy, but once you go HD you never go back), so hopefully they get the HD channel up soon! The Tennis channel follows a recent trend of making whole channels dedicated to a specific sport such as the NFL Network. The Tennis Channel can be found on channel 217.
