Fox is premiering a new series, Mental. Critics are buzzing about the new series. Some good, some bad, and I’m still undecided if I’m going to tune in tomorrow, May 26th.

As seen through the eyes of doctors and patients who, as Jack points out, have more in common then they’re willing to admit, MENTAL also tracks the romantic and personal relationships of the team of doctors and hospital staff who work closely together as they delve into the mysteries, oddities and wonders of the human brain.”

Prison Break fans, you may feel a bit happier when you recognize Chris Vance as the lead, and Silas Weir Mitchell in the Pilot as a patient.
Some early reviews have been popping up, and the critics are mixed on their reviews. The New Yorker says of the show, ““Mental,” a new drama on Fox, starting May 26th, is solidly mediocre; it’s not good, it’s not terrible, and there’s no reason for it to exist…There’s something off not just with Vance’s performance but with every aspect of “Mental,” which is essentially an imitation “House.””
But The Washington Post seems to think favorably of the show: “Bottom line: “Mental” is worth a look if only because it’s fresh fare for the summer — but it’s also possible that viewers may find themselves caring as much about Jack as he cares about his patients.”
