There have been several reports over the past few weeks that Katie Holmes was in talks to appear on So You Think You Can Dance? and now it looks like the the rumors are being confirmed.

It seems a strange pairing, Mrs. Tom Cruise on a second rate reality show, but apparently Kate wants another chance to prove that she really does have talent. A source at So You Think You Can Dance? told E! that Katie Holmes is indeed planning to appear on the show.

“As far as I know, that’s the plan,” says the source, adding that the performance will not be seen on this week’s episode. It is believed Katie will appear on the show’s July 8th episode which will also be their 100th show. The source added that there were many dancers on the set rehearsing for a big performance, including many SYTYCD alums.

The show’s producer, Nigel Lythgoe also confirmed to paparazzi that he was meeting with Katie and that the meeting “went very well.” But the tight-lipped exec would only say this of the show: “We have something very, very, very special” planned.
