If your like me and frequently have to use a DVR to catch up on programs, your are in luck if you use DirecTV. DirecTV has recently introduced a feature called the DVR Scheduler that allows you to schedule your DVR to record programs from your cellphone or computer.

To connect from a cellphone, you must have mobile internet service – which means an iPhone or Blackberry is going to be ideal to use this service. If you have internet on your phone simply open your phones web browser and go to m.directv.com. From here you can browse and select shows you would like to record on your DVR at home.

You can also schedule programs from a computer. So if you have to stay late at work but want your DVR to record the new episode of Heroes, you can set it right from your work computer. All you have to do to set your DVR from your PC is go to the guide here and choose which shows you would like your DVR to record.
