My issue is not movie channels but simply the price tag for a few 200 channels. I pay about $65.00 / month on satellite dish with only local package, a few regular channels like TNT or ESPN and an extra package with TCM, IFC and AMC. This is way out of price. Having lived in other countries i remember all of them paying for the equipment (dish, receiver box and cables) and access over 500 world wide channels FOR FREE.
I don’t mind paying as i understand the concept of enterprise but why so expensive when other nation do it for free?

I’ve found that the best way to save money on TV bill is to switch providers often…. The Cable providers especially offer great promotions to get you as a new customer… They do that in hope that you say. Once your promotion ends threaten to switch. They almost always extend the promotion for you…

I think blockbuster is better because its around the same price and you can return the movies to the store..

My friend has netflix and I have been considering signing up, it doesnt seem like there is much of a difference between that and blockbuster… or is there?

After reading this I signed up for blockbuster and I just got my first movies in the mail, it only took about one day so im happy so far. If everything goes well im going to cancel my premium channel subscriptions and save about $50.00 a month, so we will see.
