So we all knew that Grissom was heading the way of the dodo, but there may be some other changes in store for the CSI team. We’ll also be seeing  anew person on the team besides Lawrence Fishburne…Taylor Swift.

To be honest, I had no idea who Taylor Swift even was and I had to look up her name, but apparently she’ll be making her acting debut, and I don’t know how to feel about this one. We’ll be saying goodbye to Grissom..heartbreaking for most CSI fans I’d wager, but be featured into a new story arch with a country star, Swift.

Let’s face it, William Petersen was done with the show for some time now and wants to go to something on the stage or some such thing..it doesn’t matter, he’s gone and with the way he sounded in interviews it’s for the best. He will, however, remain as a producer, so I wonder if we’ll ever see him again for awhile. How does Lawrence Fishburne feel about replacing him?

“The good news is that I was asked to join this company because of my intelligence and because of my gifts as an actor,” Fishburne said. “And for that I am extremely grateful. The fact that I happen to be a man of color, well, I like to think of it as a bonus. In much the same way that I think of the man who will become our president in a few weeks’ time. He is intelligent, capable, engaging and interested in bringing people together. And he happens to be an African-American.”

Sounds good to me.
