dollFriday the 13th seems to have an awful lot going for it this year. Much of it revolves around science fiction of course, given the return of FOX’s Terminator:L The Sarah Connor Chronicles and final season of Battlestar Galactica, which personally I can’t wait to see. In addition to all of these things though (as if it wasn’t enough) we’ll also get to see the premiere of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Terminator has a pretty rock solid fan base at this point and I know I’ll be watching Battlestar Galactica, but I’ve heard a lot about Dollhouse, and I bet it’s going to manage to steal away some of the less than hardcore fans.

Now to be perfectly honest I had no idea who Joss Whedon was, but if you see his work in the past it’s likely that you’ll recognize the names. These include (but not limited to) Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly (the latter being the best in my opinion). So naturally he’s had some success in the past, but I’d wager Dollhouse may be hyped up past his previous works..yes even Firefly.

Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku and revolves around a state of the art complex that gives it’s clients…well everything. Dolls are people who have been erased and imprinted with whatever the client would like. Dushku plays one of said dolls, and how she goes about adapting her persona to the clients wishes. Needless to say it’s not all roses and happiness in paradise, though, and I’m really curious to see how this one plays out.
