The DirecTV Plus HD DVR is enabled for High Definition as well as Standard Definition and the receiver can record up to 200 hours of programming with the built in DVR. The DVR feature also lets you rewind, pause and replay live television similar to a Tivo. The DirecTV Plus HD DVR also supports Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and includes parental controls.
