David Cook wants me to come back to him! Fine, not really. However, the season 7 winner of American Idol is returning tonight to the stage that launched his career. Cook will be previewing the video for his latest single, “Come Back To Me,” and he will also be performing the song on tonight’s results show.

“Come Back To Me” is the second single from David Cook’s self-titled debut album, David Cook. It follows the top 20-ranking first single “Light On” and has been released simultaneously with “Bar-b-sol.” The former is destined for pop and adult contemporary radio while the latter seeks to make inroads on rock radio. Since its November 2008 debut, David Cook has sold over one million copies and been certified platinum.

David Cook is currently on tour. He recently canceled a couple of shows to handle personal family matters. But no worries aboout him not showing up on tonight’s show; his American Idol performance was pre-taped last week. Tonight’s results show airs at 9:00 pm Eastern/8:00 Central.
