Flixster is an iPhone app that allows you to check movie times, movie ratings and reviews, and even watch movie trailers right from your iPhone. Overall I found Flickster easy to use especially when trying to locate a theater or movie on the go. Flixster uses the iPhone’s GPS to automatically detect your location and then displays theaters and the current show times for movies that are playing closest to your current location.

The movie trailers on the Flixster app aren’t exactly HD quality but that wasn’t really expected. I also felt that the Flixster ratings for movies were a bit misleading, the good news is the app gives you the option of using ratings from RottenTomatoes instead – this can be changed in the “settings” area.
