Too bad Allison DuBois couldn’t have seen this in a dream- CBS has announced it will cut season 7′s episode order for Medium down to 13.

The network hasn’t canceled the series yet, but they appear to be keeping their options open.

The series, about a mom who can speak to the dead and receives premonitions in dreams, has done well in its Friday night time slot, averaging more than 6 million viewers. It has also had solid ratings in syndication on Lifetime.

The series originated on NBC, but was canceled two years ago, when it was averaging only 8.45 million viewers in its Monday night time slot.

CBS scooped up the show and paired it with Ghost Whisperer on Fridays. But, now that it has canceled that show, which was a perfect lead in for Medium, they may be feeling differently about the series.

CBS also cut Numb3rs, another Friday drama, down to 13 episodes before canceling it at the end of the season last year.

This morning, CBS unveiled their fall schedule which includes “Medium” (canceled by NBC yesterday) on Friday nights at 9.

Other new additions to the line-up include a new comedy, “Accidentally on Purpose”, the new NCIS spin off, “NCIS: Los Angeles”, two new medical dramas, “Three Rivers” and “Miami Trauma” and a legal drama, “The Good Wife.”

There will also be a few moves for their staple programs, “The Mentalist” is leaving its Tuesday 9 PM slot to go Thursdays where it will follow “CSI” at 10 and “The Big Bang Theory” will now follow “Three and A Half Men” at 9:30 on Mondays.
