Jersey Shore cast to return for Season 2

Update: Although season 2 has not been officially confirmed by MTV, it will most likely be filmed again in Seaside Heights NJ and not Sea Isle City. Sea Isle City mayor Mayor Leonard Desiderio has denied that filming of Season 2 will take place in the resort town.

Break out the pickles, ham, and your industrial-strength hair gel and hair spray because Jersey Shore has been renewed for a second season!  Despite all of the critical backlash from Italian-Americans and Jersey resort towns complaining that the show depicts both in a bad light, Jersey Shore has been renewed by MTV for a second season.

Unlike MTV’s long-running situational reality show,  Real World, which features an all-new cast with each season, Snooki, The Situation, JWoWW, Vinny, Pauly D, and everyone’s favorite totally tanned twosome, Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart will be returning for Jersey Shore’s second season.  Filming will begin again this summer in the resort town of Sea Isle, NJ.
