For starters, Kurt’s world was turned upside down when he had to deal with the constant bullying from jock Dave (Max Adler). When he couldn’t take it anymore, he heads over to Dalton Academy, which has a zero tolerance policy amongst students, and a competing glee club, The Warblers.

There, Kurt meets Blaine and the two instantly hit it off. Blaine (who, like Kurt, is openly gay) takes Kurt under his wing and encourages him to stand up tot he bullies. Back at school, Kurt confronts Dave in the locker room and he kisses him. A stunned Kurt confides in Blaine that it was actually his first kiss with a boy.

While Kurt is dealing with bullies (and potential love interests) Coach Beiste quits after finding out that the boys use her as an image to cool down during hot make out sessions. But, before she leaves, she confesses to Will that she’s never been kissed, so he puts an end to that.

Puck returns from juvenile hall and befriends Artie to take hours off of his community service sentence. The two become an unlikely pair and even go on a double date with Santana and Brittany but Puck is afraid it will all end soon if he sent back to juvie.

The musical highlight of the night was a mash-up the boys did of En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind” with the doo wop classic “Stop In The Name of Love” by The Supremes.

What did you think of the episode, was it up to par?

As the episode begins, the glee club is tasked with performing Rocky Horror after Shue, who still likes Emma, finds out she, and her new boyfriend Carl, are big fans of the film. In the end though, its all for naught because Will ultimately decides not to perform the show for the school, for many reasons- it was too raunchy, Sue actually talked some sense for once, and, most importantly, it didn’t help him win Emma back (though they did perform a steamy version of “Touch Me” together).

The episode’s cameos were definitely one of the highlights of the show, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf (who played Brad and Eddie in the movie respectively) made an appearance as Sue’s station managers who convince her to do an expose on the school and their “edited” version of Rocky Horror. Guest star John Stamos was also great as Emma’s boyfriend/Eddie, hope we see much more of him!

Even though Shue decided to cancel the show, he still encouraged New Directions to perform the show for themselves. Of course, their big number was also the most memorable song from the movie, “The Time Warp”. Each member of the glee club was perfectly cast, well except for Mercedes, its hard to for a song about a “Sweet Transvestite” to be convincing when its being sung by a woman.

Over all, the episode didn’t have any great revelations, but it was a fun romp back to the ’70s.

Maybe it was the lack of Sue Sylvester or the fact that there were only duets (hence the title of the episode) but last night’s episode just didn’t live up to the week before.

Kurt, who has been taking care of his recovering father, develops a crush on Sam (Chord Overstreet). Gleeks have been speculating for weeks that Sam and Kurt would begin dating but as it turns out, Kurt’s hunch was wrong and Sam isn’t gay.

Instead, Sam has his own crush, on singing partner Quinn. Despite some mixed signals on Quinn’s part, the two ended on a high note after a rendition of Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat’s “Lucky.”

Meanwhile, Puck lands himself in juvie leaving Santana and Brittany alone to entertain themselves, which ended up leading to them making out. Brittany realized she had feelings for Santana but when those feelings weren’t returned, she turned to Artie. The two end up doing it, even though Artie still has feeling for Tina too.

Mike and Tina, who are having trouble, performed “Sing!” from “A Chorus Line” to repair their relationship. And New Directions’ longest-running couple, Rachel and Finn, decided to throw the competition, thanks to their take on “With You I’m Born Again” by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright.

What did you think of last night’s show?

In the beginning of the episode, Finn discovers a burn mark on his grilled cheese that resembles Jesus and, after dubbing it “Grilled Cheesus”, he suddenly becomes quite religious. He even begins praying to his “Cheesus” for trivial things – like winning the football game- and all that he prays for comes to fruition. But, when Finn’s prayer to become football captain comes only after Sam dislocates his shoulder, he begins to feel guilty and realizes the events occurred likely by coincidence, not because of his grilled cheese sandwich.

As Finn was praying for football, Kurt was suddenly faced with the possibility of losing his dad to a heart attack. But, unlike Finn, Kurt remains skeptical about religion and refuses to let anyone pray for his father. After an invitation to church from Mercedes that he couldn’t resist, he begins to come around on the prayer thing. Best of all, at the end of the episode, his father, who was unconscious in the hospital, gives Kurt a squeeze on his hand.

Sue becomes Kurt’s ally and begin crusading to keep religion out of the classroom too. In this case, Sue actually had good reason, she wore her heart on her sleeve as she explained that her prayers that her mentally challenged sister get better fell on deaf ears. But, after talking to her sister about it, she realized that “God never makes mistakes.”

In the end, some found God, some questioned their faith, but they were all a little better off for it.

Here’s a round up of the best songs from the ep:

“I Look To You”: Mercedes belted out this Whitney Houston ballad for her friend, Kurt.

“Papa, Can You Hear Me?”: Rachel uses the Barbara Streisand song as a plea to God.

“I Want To Hold Your Hand”: Kurt’s stirring rendition of The Beatles’ classic took on a whole new meaning to the song as he dedicates it to his father.

“Losing My Religion”: Cory Monteith belts out the R.E.M. classic with gusto as his character grapples with hsi own religion.

“One Of Us”: The final group sing-a-long to Joan Osborne’s ’90s hit that asks “What if God was one of us?” was the perfect end to the show.

The episode starts with Mr. Schuester trying to convince the glee club to perform a little ’80s style easy listening but, of course, they weren’t interested.

Then, things only get worse for Shue, when he meets Emma’s new sexy dentist boyfriend Carl (played by John Stamos).

As the members of New Directions go under anesthesia in Carl’s office, they have visions of Brit who helps them find their way. First up is Brittany who has a startling amount of cavities and one of the best performances so far on the show. While singing “I’m A Slave 4 U,” Brittany reinacts some of Ms. Spears’ best moves and even has an unconscious duet with her BFF Santana on the Britney/Madonna hit “Me Against The Music”.

Later, Arnie, who is determined to get on the football team, performs his own rendition of the Brit hit “Stronger.” The song must have done some magic as Coach Beiste lets Artie join the football team and lets Finn come back too!

After Rachel makes a visit to Carl’s office, she has her own Britney transformation, into the famous “Hit Me Baby One More Time” school girl. Her new look and Finn becoming “cool” again causes some strife in their relationship, but nothing that couldn’t be repaired by Rachel’s rendition of Paramore’s “The Only Exception”, the only non-Britney tune of the episode.

What did you think? Was it Britney Spears overload or another great episode?

Glee’s season two premiere kicked off with updates from the summer via Jacob’s webumentary. We learned that Finn and Rachel are more in love than ever, Puck had a vasectomy, and, shockingly, Tina dumped Artie for Mike!

We also met the new football coach (it seems Ken had a meltdown after his break up with Emma), Shannon Biste (pronounced “beast”). When Biste’s need for more football funding threatens the Glee Club and Cheerios, Sue and Mr. Schue join forces. To Sue’s dismay though, Will eventually comes to his senses and realizes that Biste just wants to belong and isn’t that bad after all.

In order to excel to Nationals, the glee club realizes they need some need blood, which is when Rachel discovers Sunshine, a small girl with a big voice. This, of course, freaked Rachel out and caused her to sabotage Sunshine’s audition by sending her to a crack house. With a renewed sense of vengeance for the glee club, Sue gave the new Vocal Adrenaline coach a head’s up about Sunshine, who gladly jumped ship after Rachel’s nasty trick.

In the meantime, the guys recruit Sam (Chord Overstreet),the new transfer student with a great voice. But, when Biste kicks Finn off the football team (she thinks his idea to get Artie on the team was a cruel joke, but Artie did want on the team to win Tina back), Sam steps in as the new quarterback and decides to skip joining New Directions.

The highlight of the show, as usual, was the music! Sunshine and Rachel’s bathroom rendition of Beyonce and Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” was awesome. The gang’s version of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” was great too but, aren’t we all a little sick of that song by now? And Sam’s version of Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” makes me hope he finds his way back to the glee club!

But, they might be off to a good start.

Last week, the producers of Glee announced that they are not only planning a Rocky Horror Picture Show-themes episode, but they have also signed a few of the original cast members for the show.

According to E! Online, Barry Bostwick, who played Brad Majors, and Meat Loaf will have cameos as station managers who have an ‘interesting proposal’ for Sue Sylvester. Susan Surandon has recently told reporteres she would be interested in appearing on the show as well, but there is currently no word as to whether she’ll be guest starring on the ep or not.

In the last few weeks Rocky Horror- mania has taken over the cast with Chris Colfer taking credit for the idea, Jayma Mays saying she sang “Toucha Toucha Touch Me” for her ‘Glee’ audition in a recent interview and Cory Monteith spilling that he’ll don Brad’s famous underwear.

The episode is set to air on Oct. 26, just in time for Halloween!

Chord Overstreet, whose casting as a guest star has been known for a while, will likely turn out to be Kurt’s new squeeze. And from what Jane Lynch is describing, there’s no doubt he is the one.

“They’ve cast him already,” Lynch said Sunday (Aug. 22) at the Audi and Chopard Emmy party when asked about Kurt’s love interest. “He becomes the new star quarterback and he’s going to be Kurt’s boyfriend.”

“He’s tall, boyish with straight blonde hair and big fat, pouty lips,” she adds, forgetting his name.

Not only is the description spot on, but Overstreet’s character Sam is newcomer who joins the football team, and befriends Finn (Cory Monteith), only to later become his rival. Sounds like boyfriend material to me.

“Glee” returns on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

FOX gave “Glee” the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot and the show is planning to take advantage of every moment in front of what is sure to be their biggest audience ever.

Ryan Murphy, the show’s co-creator, said that the show is considering a post-Super Bowl episode along the lines of the Madonna or Lady Gaga episodes from last year. Only this time the featured artist will be a guy, which might be a good move, considering they will likely also have their largest male audience ever.

“We don’t want to do very many [theme episodes],” Murphy says. “… But for after the Super Bowl, we’re doing a big artist who we’re in negotiations with.”

Murphy also says that while “Glee” is working on a Britney Spears-themed episode, which won’t be done “as you’d think” it would.

The show’s creators are also excited about the upcoming talent search contest that will air on Oxygen and pick a new cast member for Season 3. Thousands have already sent in audition tapes. “It’s just crazy, wonderful and great,” co-creator Ian Brennan says. The amount of time people put in … it’s really cool. I thought [the submissions] would be more rough around the edges. It’s really impressive.”

“Glee” begins its second season on Sept. 21.
