The resolution on the videos is also amazing. The Adobe Player offers up to 1080p, which is better than most television sets.

Even though QuickTime has been around for a long time, it is still far from obsolete. There are many benefits to using a QuickTime Media Player. For one, it is capable of playing multiple formats clearly. Also, it has amazing video streaming qualities. QuickTime offers a very fluid live stream, and manages to outdo many other media players in that respect.
VLC Media Player
Many people feel that the VLC Media Player is the only media player that a Mac user needs. It plays almost any file type that you can throw at it, including many types that other players can’t handle. Also, the VLC Media Player allows users to start playing a video while it’s still in the downloading process. VLC can also stream from one network to another. For example, you can take something from your Tivo and stream it to your computer. The streaming possibilities are almost limitless.
It is important to understand what functions you are getting with your video player. Don’t settle for something that just plays videos. There is so much more out there than the ability to watch a movie, and the competition to one up the other players is so fierce that free media players offer a great deal of extras.
